Background
The Triad Private Limited (Triad) is a Sri Lankan Advertising Company, located at No 45/6, Alwis Place, Colombo 03. According to their website, the business of Triad includes offset printing, annual report designing and production, pre-press services, photography and an in-house studio, event management, online marketing, audio visual production, media and public relations.[1][2]
Dilith Jayaweera is the founder and the joint Managing Director and Brand Strategist of Triad.[3][2]
Triad received several awards nationally and internationally including Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) Awards (2004, 2005, 2008), The Chillies Sri Lankan Advertising Awards (2006, 2009) and Asia Pacific advertising awards (Ad Fest).[3][2]

Accused of sponsored news articles critical of cigarette tax increase
Rajitha Senaratne, the then Minister of Health accused, a media briefing held on 1st November 2017, that the tobacco company sponsored newspaper articles through Triad, according to the former Minister, offered LKR 150,000 to print and online newspapers to publish a news article critical of the government’s move to raise tobacco tax.
