Background
Michael Koest was appointed Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Of¬ficer (CEO) of the Ceylon Tobacco Company PLC (CTC) in March 2016.[1] He joined BAT International in 2001 and was with British American Tobacco (BAT) from 2006. A Swiss national with a BA degree on Philosophy, Geography and German Literature, his career in BAT was in the areas of “strategy and planning and marketing”.[1]
