Nimal Gunewardena is the “Founder, Chairman, and Chief Strategist” of NGage Strategic Alliance, according to their website, working in the field of integrated marketing communications. NGage Strategic Alliance is an agency that provides consultancy services in public relations, marketing, and advertising in Sri Lanka. Prior to starting his own company, Gunewardena was the CEO of JWT Colombo. Before that, he was the Marketing Director at Reckitt & Colman. He also worked for AFS Intercultural Programs in New York as their Regional Director for Asia-Pacific. NGage Strategic Alliance was founded in 1993.[1] Gunewardena is a Chartered Marketer and a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Marketing. He also has professional memberships of The Chartered Institute of Public Relations, the American Marketing Association, the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors and the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing.[2]

He is affiliated with international agencies such as Bates CHI & Partners and Burson-Marsteller. In 2018, Burson-Marsteller’s parent company WPP merged it with Cohn & Wolfe and created BCW (Burson Cohn & Wolfe) group.
